Benjamin Munda
Benjamin L. Munda is a lifelong Edmond resident who graduated from Edmond Santa Fe High School in 2004. While a student, he was an active member of the Lincoln-Douglas debate team. Ben went on to the University of Oklahoma where he majored in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. During his college career, he won 1st place in the Chemical Engineering Senior Design Competition for his pharmacokinetic model of pharmaceutical intake and distribution. After graduation in 2009, he worked as a chemist at Isotek Laboratories before returning to the University of Oklahoma Law School, where he graduated in 2013 in the top 10% of his class with the Order of the Coif. Ben began his professional legal career at McAfee and Taft Law Firm where he worked for two years as an Intellectual Property attorney primarily focused on patent work. He then moved on to become a Public Defender in Oklahoma County, which he did for five years from June 2015 to August 2020. During this time, he received the Barry Albert Award for outstanding trial work in Oklahoma County. Since joining Overman Legal Group specializing in criminal defense, Ben has continued his hard work as an advocate on behalf of his clients.
