David Matthew Cedar
David Cedar is the co-founder of Williams Cedar, L.L.C. and prior founding member of the firms Cedar Law Firm, L.L.C., Merovitz & Cedar, L.L.P. and Merovitz, Cedar and Gruber., L.L.C. He is a graduate of Rutgers State University, School of Law, Camden (1992). He is admitted to practice in the bars of Pennsylvania (1993) and New Jersey (1992), along with various district courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. David Cedar was appointed by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney (2001) an honor awarded to less than 1% of all attorneys in the State of New Jersey.
Mr. Cedar’s primary focus involves New Jersey civil trial litigation for catastrophic personal injury claims, complex tort claims in many states and federal courts including civil class action claims in the field of environmental contamination, civil rights and discrimination law, and consumer law, toxic tort claims, defective medical devise claims, professional malpractice claims, and products liability claims in most states despite a focus in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Mr. Cedar has successfully brought hundreds of claims to trial, arbitration, and mediation. He has prosecuted cases all the way through the Appellate Courts to the Supreme Court of New Jersey. He has experience and success battling Fortune 500 companies and banks, medical device manufacturers, major insurance companies, defective product manufacturers, mortgage brokers and bankers, real estate appraisers, and builders, as well as home improvement contractors for catastrophic and permanent injury damages, deceptive and fraudulent acts and practices, punitive damages, and past and present economic losses.
