Joel Rische

Joel Rische is a South Dakota litigation attorney at Davenport Evans.  Joel’s focus is on commercial litigation in both state and federal court, especially business litigation and real and personal property disputes.  Joel also assists clients with liens, creditors’ rights matters, and post-judgment collection.  Joel has successfully helped clients resolve adverse claims against property rights and helped businesses assert and defend their contractual rights in a variety of commercial disputes.

Prior to joining the firm in 2015, Joel clerked for the Honorable Roberto A. Lange in the U.S. District Court for the District of South Dakota in Pierre.  He proudly claims Wessington Springs, South Dakota, as his home town, and graduated from the University of South Dakota and the University of Nebraska College of Law.

Joel is a board member of the Sioux Falls Arts Council and the Sioux Falls Design Center and volunteers with the Sioux Empire Teen Court juvenile diversion program.  Outside of work, Joel enjoys traveling his wife, Jackelyn, and their son, playing the drums, and motorcycling.
