Mellisa Maxwell

Ms. Maxwell is an experienced business attorney; whose legal background covers a broad spectrum of legal topics. Her legal career started with a focus primarily on technology licensing and development agreements. As her career advanced, the scope of expertise has expanded beyond technology transactions and intellectual property issues to include a more general focus on areas that impact business operations; such as employment law issues, privacy and cyber security, consumer protection, regulatory and compliance, insurance, and governance. In 2018, Ms. Maxwell founded a non-profit that provides business legal expertise to new and small businesses. She often speaks at events to educate small businesses owners on data protection and privacy issues. She has been certified with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) since 2015. Additionally, Ms. Maxwell participates on several advisory boards.
